Book for Economic Globalization

Hello All:

I will be introducing a new course on Economic Globalization to our
undergraduate students. I would like to cover topics such as
globalization, poverty, education, healthcare availability, economic
growth in developed as well as emerging economies. Could you please
suggest a book or list of articles that I may be able to use with the
class? Has anyone taught such a course and can give me suggestions as
what to cover in this class and its format that had been a success for
you?

Also, Can you suggest how degrees of capitalism can be measured?
