Hey, some years I want to give less than other years, so I'm not going to
contract for a lower wage. I may want to vary donations for reasons unique to my
family's needs, or unique to the behavior of the institution. I don't want to
reward my employer for all behaviors, but particular ones. If I lowered my wage,
then I couldn't do that as well. By retaining the right to give or not give, I
have some small control over the size of projects. My set of choices is larger.
