Finals Results

Well finals are over and I have the results of my experiment. The
assignments that I gave was well received. The students did well on it,
liked it and even told me that they learned from it. The multiple choice
part that I gave, the best grade was about 80%, with no one below 60%.
Being that they are recent immigrants without a very good grasp of the
english language, I feel the test was a success. It also tells me I have
to be more careful with my wording. I did grade on a curve so that the
students didn't suffer from my experiment.
I think with some improvements the format of the test, giving an article
with questions as a take home and some MC questions to make sure that
students remember definitions and concepts, will succeed. Also being that
they take home the written part, I can read the answers easier (since
they are typed and checked for grammar).
